Kl8.in is built from the ground up for NSW classrooms. We align strictly with NESA guidelines, NSW Information Protection Principles (IPPs), and the HRIP Act.
Real student data stays in your classroom. Only tokenised tags reach our secure servers.
You input roster names. The browser strips identifiers locally and issues printable lookup cards.
Stores token tags, setting templates, and output plans. Holds zero student PII.
Grades work items and drafts feedback. Data is never used to train LLM models.
We do not store student first names, last names, or DOBs. The platform tokenises rosters into secure tokens (e.g. S-1, S-2) on the client side, keeping real identities private.
Our intelligent scanner blocks entry of sensitive medical diagnoses or behavioural labels (e.g. ADHD, Autism, NDIS), ensuring compliance with the HRIP Act.
Your account credentials and de-identified school data reside securely on AWS servers located inside Australia (Sydney region), complying with NSW data residency requirements.
Under NSW IPP 3 and IPP 6-8, we provide clear collection disclosures, free self-service JSON data downloads, and double-confirmation account purges at any time.
Designed to complement official Department platforms, providing teachers with diagnostic assistance without replacing records of authority.
How Kl8.in satisfies compliance requirements of the NSW PPIP Act 1998.
We collect only minimum credentials required for authentication (teacher email and username) and de-identified setting templates. No PII is collected without a clear pedagogical purpose.
Your workspace is fed directly and manually by you. We do not extract credentials, roster metadata, or school identifiers from external third-party scraping databases.
A transparent IPP 3 Collection Notice is permanently attached to the user signup interface. It explains clearly what is collected, where it is held, and how to query or request deletion.
Form fields demand only variables relevant to creating curriculum guides. Student names are blocked and tokenized, preventing excessive file logging.
All data transit utilizes SSL encryption. Saved variables reside in secure container architectures in AWS Sydney, complete with AES-256 rest-encryption hashes.
Every logged-in educator holds direct self-service visibility over their inputs. Your profile, settings, quizzes, and rosters are loaded clearly in-app.
We provide a one-click Data Portability tool under the Profile settings view, allowing you to export your entire account database record as a readable JSON file at any time.
All inputs remain fully editable. You can edit roster tags, rewrite lesson prompts, reconfigure school properties, or delete records in real time.
We verify syllabus outcome lookup entries directly from updated ACARA and NESA guidelines to maintain high educational accuracy across outputs.
Kl8.in data is utilized strictly to deliver requested features. We enforce a zero-ad, zero-tracker, and zero-reselling rule. Your data is never analyzed for commercial targeting.
We do not share datasets with third parties. AI grading requests go to Google Gemini over HTTPS; roster names are redacted on our servers before text is sent. Uploaded student work is auth-protected, not public.
Roster names are client-side de-identified to prevent crossing border lines. Behavioural and diagnostic notes are scanned and rejected on save to satisfy stricter HRIP Act provisions.
Find answers to common questions about Kl8.in features, privacy, compliance, and classroom use.
Yes! Kl8.in is completely free for all classroom teachers. You can create unlimited worksheets, report comments, quizzes, and certificates without any paywalls or limitations.
Yes. Kl8.in is designed as a complementary utility to help teachers draft classroom materials. It does not replace any official student records or Department systems, and it strictly aligns with NESA guidelines and NSW Information Protection Principles.
We use a client-side de-identification system. If you upload a student roster, the browser generates printable keys (e.g., mapping "John Smith" to "S-1") that you print and keep locally. Only the token codes are uploaded to the database, ensuring no personally identifiable student records are ever transmitted or stored on our servers.
We call the Gemini API for AI marking only. Your lesson materials stay on Kl8.in under our retention policy; Google’s API terms govern their handling of request data. We do not opt in to using your content to train third-party models.
You have full ownership of your data. Under the Profile Security tab, you can instantly download all your de-identified rosters, quizzes, and settings as a JSON file, or permanently delete your account, which immediately purges all your data from our databases.
No! Students join live quizzes with the student code their teacher assigned (e.g. S-1 or Student A)—not legal names. No student emails or persistent accounts are created.
Yes. The Worksheet Designer, and report writing tools are built around NESA Stage outcomes and codes (including Stage 1-5 English and Mathematics outcomes), ensuring any materials generated map directly to standard curriculum structures.
We were tired of juggling subscriptions, risking student privacy, and rebuilding the same worksheets every term. Kl8.in bundles sixteen NESA-ready tools into one free dashboard — with de-identified rosters from day one.
Give every NSW teacher a privacy-first command centre for marking, planning, printing, and reporting — without another paywall.
Student rosters use teacher-chosen codes, encrypted at rest. You control export and purge from Profile settings.
NESA-aligned templates, ACARA v9 libraries, and workflows shaped by real Stage 1–6 classrooms.
No credit card, no student accounts, no feature gates. Funded by kl8techgroup to stay teacher-focused.
From live quizzes and Smartboard Picker to Miss K marking, Worksheet Designer, report comments, and NESA evidence booklets.
