1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account and using Kl8.in, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Operated by kl8techgroup (ABN 77 923 391 849), New South Wales, Australia.
2. Description of the Service
Kl8.in is a web-based productivity platform for NSW school teachers providing:
- Certificate generator
- Lesson planner
- Worksheet designer
- Digital quiz tool
- Student roster management
- Report comment generator
- Community template sharing
- Staff room Q&A
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be 18+ and a qualified educator or school staff member.
You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information when registering.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Kl8.in only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:
- Upload illegal, abusive, or defamatory content
- Enter student personal information beyond what is needed for legitimate classroom functions
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the Service
- Use the Service for spam, phishing, or fraud
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service without written permission
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Post content in the Community Hub or Staff Room that is false, misleading, or harmful
5. Community Hub & Staff Room
Posts to the Community Hub and Staff Room use display names you choose. You are responsible for the content you post.
The upvote/downvote system is used for quality moderation. Content with significantly more downvotes than upvotes may be automatically removed.
You must have a complete profile and account at least 2 days old before posting.
kl8techgroup reserves the right to remove any content at its discretion.
While post display names are chosen by you, your account is linked internally for moderation and legal compliance purposes.
6. Student Data and Safeguarding
You are responsible for ensuring your use of student data complies with your school's privacy policies and applicable law.
Strict Prohibition of Identifiers & Health Records: To align with the NSW PPIP Act and HRIP Act, you must not enter student real names, initials-in-small-classes, dates of birth, or sensitive health, diagnostic, behavioural, or medical records (e.g. ADHD, Autism, NDIS) into the Service. You must use de-identified tokens or descriptors (e.g., Student A, S-1) for roster records.
kl8techgroup is a data processor acting on your instructions. You are the data controller. We process only de-identified roster and student metrics on your behalf.
You must not use the Service to publish or distribute student information in ways that violate your obligations to students or their families.
7. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain rights to content you create. By uploading your school logo, you confirm you have the right to use it.
Our Platform: Kl8.in's design, source code, and branding are the intellectual property of kl8techgroup.
Curriculum Content: Curriculum outcome codes are derived from the Australian Curriculum (CC BY 4.0, ACARA) and NSW Syllabus.
Output: Certificates, lesson plans, and worksheets may be printed for non-commercial educational use within your school.
8. Availability and Service Changes
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months (or AU$100 if no payment was made).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
Nothing limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
